Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Launches in China as "Win The Peak" — A New Era for MLBB Esports
As of January 2025, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has officially launched in China under the name Win The Peak (Juesheng Dianfeng), marking a major milestone in the game’s global expansion. This long-awaited move is set to bring significant changes to the MLBB esports scene worldwide.
A New Server for Chinese Players
With the introduction of a dedicated Chinese server, MLBB is taking steps to enhance the gaming experience for local players. Given China’s deep-rooted MOBA culture, this move is expected to attract millions of new players, further solidifying MLBB’s standing in the competitive gaming world.
The Esports Scene Expands in China
To celebrate the launch, the 2024 MLBB China (CN) Pre-season Invitational kicked off in March, featuring top-tier teams like JDG, KBG, and NOVA. This event served as a qualifier for the Esports World Cup (EWC) China Qualification Tournament, aligning with the Mid-Season Cup (MSC).
China’s MLBB esports scene is rapidly growing, with established organizations like Invictus Gaming now having MLBB divisions. In 2023, KeepBest Gaming represented China in the M5 World Championship Wild Card tournament, showcasing the region's increasing influence in the MLBB esports world.
The Future of MLBB in China
As China is home to some of the biggest MOBA communities, the launch of Win The Peak is expected to spark new strategies and elevate competition. Moonton, the game’s developer, has plans to roll out exclusive events and features specifically tailored to Chinese players. However, MLBB faces strong competition from other mobile MOBAs, such as Honor of Kings, which already has a significant foothold in the region.
