Welcome to the battlegrounds, rookie! Whether you're on mobile, PC, or console, your first few games in PUBG can be confusing and intense. But don’t worry—this guide will help you take your first steps with confidence. You don’t need to be a pro; you just need to play smart.
1. Understand the Goal:
PUBG isn’t about who gets the most kills—it’s about surviving. Out of 100 players, only one squad or player takes the chicken dinner. So, think like a survivor, not a superhero. Sometimes, avoiding fights is the smarter move.
2. Land Smart:
When you first jump from the plane, avoid hot zones like Pochinki or School unless you’re up for chaos. As a beginner, go for quieter places like Lipovka, Shelter, or Gatka. These spots give you time to loot and get your bearings without instantly getting eliminated.
3. Loot Like a Pro (Even if You’re Not One Yet)
Grab:
Weapons: Go for easy-to-use guns like M416, AKM, or UMP45.
Armor: A helmet and vest will save your life literally.
Backpack: Level 2 gives you enough space to carry all the good stuff.
Healing Items: Bandages, first-aid kits, and energy drinks.
Ammo: No need to carry 500 bullets. Stick to around 150–200 for each weapon.
4. Stick With Your Squad:
Playing with friends makes the game 10 times more fun. You can communicate, share loot, and revive each other. If you're downed in solo mode, you're done but in squads, your friend might just save your life. Plus, the laughs and teamwork make every match memorable.
5. Respect the Blue Zone:
The circle keeps shrinking. If you’re outside of it, your health drops fast. Keep checking the map and move early. Many new players die just because they didn’t pay attention to the zone.
6. Play Within Limits:
One of the cool things about PUBG is that each match has a time limit—usually around 30 minutes or less. This actually helps players avoid getting addicted. It’s a game you can enjoy in short sessions without feeling stuck for hours.
Set your own limits too. Play a couple of matches, take a break, and go outside. PUBG is more fun when it doesn’t take over your life.
7. Have Fun and Learn:
Every match teaches you something where to land, how to fight, what not to do next time. Don't worry about winning in your first few games. Just enjoy the experience and improve little by little.
